Public Works

The Community Public Works office is responsible for delivery of services and maintenance of roads and infrastructure in the community. This involves delivery of safe drinking water, which involves water testing and compliance with our water license with the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board.

We manage the sewage and garbage collection, compost collection, and grading roads and snow plowing in the community. We oversee the landfill, drinking water treatment plant, solid waste facility, and log garage. Our fleet includes a sewage truck, grader, water truck, and public works truck.

Our staff team includes:

  • Public Works Foreman
  • Receptionist
  • Water and sewage operator
  • Drinking water treatment plant operator
  • Airport maintainer
  • Janitorial support
